Pinterest ...

Are you on Pinterest? Here's my  problem with Pinterest... there are SO. MANY. GREAT. IDEAS.

I'm always re-pinning outfit ideas, recipes, advice on how to get fit, how to lose weight, how to, how to, how to! My favourite part of Pinterest though is definitely the craft ideas. And in particular, the ideas for the garden.

Contrary to popular opinion, despite the years I've spent tucked away by myself on computers I love the outdoors. Hill walking, mountain climbing, strolls through the countryside. Camping, bonfires, the beach, BBQs, sunsets and sunrises, tinned food and wet wipes. Gardens, deck chairs, blankets, books, a walkman, a CD player, an iPod ...

I found a wonderful craft idea the other day on Pinterest - using old tin cans, punch out holes in different shapes (circles, stars, hearts etc.) and use them as a candle holder. Easy and perfect.

I've got my baked bean tin in the freezer at the moment (if you fill them with water and freeze it first, it stops the can from denting when you knock the holes through) and when I finish it, I'll definitely be posting some pictures, and maybe a tutorial.

If you're on Pinterest, add me!!

It's September and the time where I begin to look forward to an autumn wardrobe. I may be the girl who would kill to live somewhere with sunshine all year round, but I'm also the girl who loves woolly cardigans, new boots and scarves, gloves and hats and socks and ... you get the idea!

These are a few key pieces I'm really hoping will enter my wardrober over the next month or two. They're all affordable pieces from hugh street stores so here's hoping.

So here goes ...

So, here's the thing. I work full time in an industry I want to be part of but in a job I don't love. I write (for free) for several websites in order to gain as much experience as possible. I have a huge family spread all over the country who I try to see as often as possible, and I friends - from home, from university, friends who live all over the globe - all of whom deserve as much as my time as possible.

I'm not sure if it's even possible to simplify my life.

But here goes.

I'm not sure when I'll get the 9-5 job that I want but in the mean time, as I wait and apply and cross my fingers and toes for the right job to appear, I'm going to attempt to make more time for ... walks in the country, for sitting in new pubs and discovering new ciders with friends; figuring out how to successfully make red velvet cupcakes; collating my travelling memories in a scrapbook collectiom; learning to knit properly; documenting each and every day with a new picture, a snapshot of my life as it is in my mid twenties.
